First, are you enjoying your Craftsy Quilter's Daily Buzz????!!! I think it's so fun and I love the video tips - super short and sweet. Today's deal includes my delicious Aurifil thread and a great storage tip so check it out.
For this post I'm switching from an Instant Pot recipe to an ActiFry food. I tried chicken wings in it and they were fantastic! Usually, we coat our chicken wings in a seasoned flour and bar-b-que them but on the weekdays or when hubs is away or less motivated, cooking the wings indoors is a great alternative. I tossed the wings in the flour mix and spread them around the ActiFry pan. I didn't add any oil at all! The only problem I had was as soon as the fan started up a cloud of flour blew all around the machine! I was worried it would clog or damage the fan but everything was fine...just a bit of a mess to wipe up. I read online that this happened to other people as well and the solution is to simply refrigerate the coated wings before cooking. The flour will adhere better and not blow off!
The wings (hard to see in my pic) were so crunchy and really looked deep fried. They were flavourful 'as is' but we tossed them in Buffalo sauce (butter and Frank's hot sauce) and bar-b-que sauce. Everyone approved. I don't eat more than two of them myself because even ActiFried, they are not the healthiest choice but it was still fun to watch them cook and see how great they turned out.
Tonight I'm making dinner in the Instant Pot and dessert in the ActiFry! I have used my Instant Pot every single day and I truly love it! I feel like why didn't I know about pressure cooking until now and why doesn't everybody? It feels like a secret society but I want to tell the world to try it! I even got my sister to pull hers out of the cupboard and start using it again.
Last night for dessert we had strawberry-banana Yonanas and I'm still amazed how delicious and creamy it is! I love that too! I am enjoying these new kitchen appliances tremendously...:)
